Lilia C. Rodriguez, 77, of Pleasanton, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on October 21, 1943, in Jourdanton to Celestino Cordova, Jr. and Irene Gonzales Cordova.

Lilia was an avid gardener and thoroughly enjoyed being outside. She was born and raised in Jourdanton and has spent most of her life in Atascosa County. When she was younger, she worked the local fields, picking cotton and other crops, alongside her brother and parents. She was a very humble woman and spent her entire life taking care of others, always putting everyone else’s needs before her own. She was a funloving spirit that enjoyed listening to mariachi music, singing and dancing.

She is preceded in death by her parents Celestino, Jr. and Irene Cordova; brother George Cordova and grandson Jonathan Henry Treviño.

Lilia is survived by her husband Ynez A. Hernandez; her daughters Cynthia M. Rodriguez, Anna M. Treviño, and Betty J. Villegas; her bonus children that she gained after building her life with Ynez, Virginia Hernandez, Alex Hernandez, and Leticia Hernandez; sisters Victoria Gomez, Mary Ann Hildebrand and Mary Jane Alcorta; and her 12 grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

There will be a time of visitation on Monday, May 10 at Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Pleasanton from 5-7 p.m. with the reciting of the rosary at 7 p.m. The interment will be at San Jose Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 11.
