Leonardo Espinosa, 82, passed away on November 26, 2019 in San Antonio.

He was born on December 2, 1936 to Pascual & Eduarda Llamas Espinosa in Campbellton.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 53 years, Estella; and sister, Antonia Garcia.

He is survived by his daughters, Theresa and Christina Espinosa; grandson, Daniel Ray Espinosa; sister, Nora Espinosa; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Leonardo proudly served in the United States Air Force for 22 years and retired as a Msgt. Thereafter he began his upholstery career and eventually went into business for himself and opened up his own shop, “Creative Upholstery.” He was a kind and humble man who took pride in everything he did! He was a loving husband, a wonderful father, and a remarkable grandfather. He set a great example for his family and all those who loved him and he will truly be missed by all.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, December 12 from 5-9 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Castle Ridge Mortuary, 8008 Military Dr. West, San Antonio, Texas 78227. Funeral Mass will begin on Friday, December 13 at 10 a.m. at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church; 5919 Ingram Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78228. Interment will follow immediately after at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. with full military honors, conducted at Committal Shelter #3.
