The Pleasanton girls basketball team won third place at the Karnes City tournament Thursday through Saturday.
Lady Eagles senior Aubrey Guerra made the all-tournament team.
Guerra led Pleasanton with 27 points in the third-place game, a 53-39 win over George West.
Santana Huron and Messiah San Miguel each had six points.
Pleasanton went 3-1 overall at the tournament.
The Lady Eagles (7-4 overall) went 1-1 Thursday to start the tournament.
Pleasanton began with a 35-31 win over Aransas Pass. The Lady Eagles held off the Lady Panthers after taking a one-point lead into the final quarter.
Guerra had a team-high 15 points and 16 rebounds. Huron and Harper Brymer each scored six points, and Brymer also had eight rebounds.
Baylee Bauer had six rebounds and three assists.
Pleasanton then fell 48-21 to the host Karnes City.
Guerra, Huron and Bauer each had five points.
Bauer led the team with five rebounds.
On Friday, the Lady Eagles took care of Flatonia 43-20.
Pleasanton built a 20-9 lead at halftime and pulled away in the final two quarters.
Guerra scored a team-high 10 points, and Huron added eight. Sophomores Kalyssa Rios and Calli Jones each had six points.
Jones led the team with eight rebounds and also had two assists.
Guerra had five rebounds and three steals, while Bauer chipped in with four rebounds.
Huron had a team-high three assists and also three steals. Rios led Pleasanton with four steals.
The Lady Eagles hosted Comfort on Tuesday night and will travel to face Lytle on Friday.
