The Pleasanton Lady Eagles rolled to a 56-45 road win over Bandera on Tuesday thanks to big performances from Kayli Kennedy and Baylee Bauer.
Kennedy dropped a team-high 19 points in the win, including eight in a 23-point outburst in the second quarter.
That barrage in the second quarter was helped by Bauer connecting on three three-pointers en route to 15 points on the night.
The big second quarter helped the Lady Eagles overcome a 12-9 deficit at the end of the first quarter. Pleasanton held Bandera to just three points in the second period to take a 32- 15 lead into halftime.
Heaven Marquez kicked off the shooting clinic with the first of the Lady Eagles’ four three-pointers in the first quarter.
The Lady Eagles move to 2-0 on the young season. They return home this Friday when they welcome Natalia to town for a nondistrict showdown.
