“We played with a lot of heart and determination tonight,” head coach Gabriel Aguirre said. “Every game came down to the wire and the girls kept fighting to the end and came up with a big win.”
Freshman Sadie McAda stepped up big with a double-double after tallying a team-high 21 kills and 18 digs. Fellow freshman Victoria Urbanczyk had nine kills to her name.
Urbanczyk and Tess Underbrink posted double-figure assists with the freshman Urbanczyk recording 19 and Underbrink posting 14.
Underbrink and McAda each had an ace as well.
