For the third straight year, the Pleasanton cross country team will be represented at the state meet in Round Rock.

Freshman runner Kassidy Vickers will run at Old Settlers’ Park in Round Rock thanks to an 11th place finish at the Class 4A Region IV meet at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Tuesday, Nov. 10. Vickers turned in a time of 12:50.86 to punch her ticket to state.

The Lady Eagles finished fifth at the regional meet for the second consecutive year. Pleasanton scored 149 points thanks to a 17th place finish by Caitlyn Nieschwitz, a 54th place finish by Mary Martinez, a 56th place finish by Lindsey Klein and a 63rd place finish by Fe Vielma.

Wanish Tortes-McGinnis, the lone Eagle representative, finished 59th with a time of 19:42.3.

Vickers will run at the state meet on Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 11:45 a.m.
