Locals and out-of-towners will have the chance to see some amazing performances at this year’s annual Cowboy Homecoming/Turn N Burn event on March 9-10.
The Hill Brothers
Preston, Wade and Adam Hill were raised in Pleasanton with the love for small town living, as well as traditional country music. They grew up listening to the sounds of Bob Wills, Ray Price, George Strait and many others. All three brothers graduated from Pleasanton and were National Honor Society students, each playing varsity football. They took their love of music with them to Texas A&M University where they played in a number of cover bands. While at A&M, each were members of the Corps of Cadets with Preston being the Corps Chaplain his senior year, Ross being the first captain of the first Platoon Horse Riding Calvary and Adam being the current executive officer of the Calvary in his senior year.
Each of the Hill brothers take after their father, Toby Hill, and play multiple instruments such as the guitar, bass and fiddle. During his junior high years, Adam won the Poteet Strawberry Festival Fiddlers Contest three years in a row. Nowadays, they are primarily key players in the South Texas Construction Industry. Playing music for others to dance to is a hobby they all enjoy. Every now and then, such as the upcoming Cowboy Homecoming/Turn N Burn event, they are blessed with the opportunity to join together onstage for some good ole country music making. Come on out on Friday, March 9 for some hometown natives doing what they love in the town they love.
Best known for their covers of 80’s Rock music such as Guns & Roses, Journey, AC/DC, Def Leppard and Zeppelin, LC Rocks is ready to get the real partying started as they return again as this year’s Saturday night opener. One of Austin’s premier 80s rock bands, LC Rocks also play songs from the 90s, 70s classic rock bands and contemporary artists. This dynamic rock band based in Austin loves what they do and brings that passion to the stage in every performance. You do not want to miss out on some incredible rock music for your Saturday night enjoyment. LC Rocks will take the stage on Saturday, March 10.
For the first time, Koe Wetzel will be at this year’s event as the main attraction on Saturday night. Wetzel’s band is a group of East Texas boys who came together in 2011 and are based out of Stephenville, TX. Their songs such as “Wine Glass”, “Never Leave” and “Song I Can Drink Too” feature a Texas Rock N’ Roll theme that gets the crowd tapping their feet to.
By 2015, their hit album “Out on Parole” was released and quickly became popular amongst fans. Their second album “Noise
Complaint”, was released in 2016. Wetzel’s current single “Austin” was just released this past December. Come out and see Koe Wetzel and his band on Saturday, March 10 after LC Rocks.
