Cinema in the Park
Don’t miss the 3rd Cinema in the Park. Saturday, July 5thth The Pleasanton Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is hosting the free event starting at dusk. “Monsters University” will be shown at the Little League ball diamond out field at the Atascosa River Park.
South Texas Showdown Bull Riding
Head on out to the South Texas Showdown Bull Riding event Saturday, July 5th at Cowboy Fellowship. World Senior Pro Bull Riders, AC3 Cattle Company and Cowboy Fellowship are presenting the event starting at 7pm. Steer riders need to register before Sunday and can call 512-393-9000 for more information. To register for the Mutton Bustin’ show up early between 5-6 pm on the day of the event. There will also be a Calf Scramble. The event is free.
4th of July Fun Day Celebration
The City of Christine will also be hosting a 4th of July Celebration Saturday, July 5th at Christine City Square. The event will have water slides and jumping castles from 2-7pm. Softball for the kids at 3pm and a kiddie area with games and activities. A DJ starting at 8 pm. There will be a concession stand throughout the day. The evening ends with a fireworks show at 10pm.
American Pride Day
If you are looking for something to do with the family for the 4th of July don’t miss the American Pride Day held at the Jourdanton City Park. Admission is free and the event is Friday, July 4th from 5pm -10pm. The event will include entertainment all evening, activities for the kids, face painting and kids games. Free soft drinks, hot dogs, popcorn, pickles and chips will be served while supplies last. The band River City Kings will perform. The evening will end with a fireworks show at 9 pm.
