Juanita Jimenez Escamilla, 60, of Charlotte, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020, in San Antonio. She was born January 2, 1960, in Crystal City to Adelaido and Jesusa Jimenez.
Juanita found her joy taking care of her husband and kids and teaching her granddaughters to cook including making tortillas. If she was not caring for her family, you could find her relaxing and watching her shows. Most people thought she was a serious person, but with her family, she was a fun-loving jokester. She loved to laugh, play and kid around with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was also very passionate about the St. Jude’s Organization, ensuring to give every opportunity she had. Juanita had such a big heart and a soft spot for children.
Juanita is preceded in death by her parents, Adelaido and Jesusa Jimenez; and her older brother Adelaido Jimenez Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Teodoro Escamilla Sr.; son, Teodoro Escamilla Jr.; daughter, Rosa Mogg and her husband Shawn; brothers, Ricky Jimenez and his wife Marion, Augustine Jimenez and his wife Diana, and Joe Medrano; sisters, Emilia Poston and her husband Danny, and Mary Jimenez; grandchildren, Hannah Mogg, Khloe Mogg, Elijah Mogg, Teodoro Escamilla III and Victoria Faith Escamilla.
