Juan G. Salazar, 46, of Pleasanton passed away, Saturday, January 19, 2019. He was born in San Diego, Texas to Jesus, Jr. and Maria (Granado) Salazar. Juan was a loving father and husband, he loved to work for his family. Juan worked in the oilfield all his life, he was employed with H&P Drilling for fifteen plus years. Juan’s favorite hobbies were fishing and spending time with his children. He was the biggest supporter of his wife’s nursing education. Juan always wanted the best in life for his wife and children. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
He is preceded in death by his son Johnny Salazar; father Jesus E. Salazar, Jr.; maternal grandparents Juan and Marcelo Granado; paternal grandparents Jesus and Luz Salazar; uncle Robert “Larry” Hasette; sister-in-law Hillary Hasette.
Juan is survived by his wife Sierra Salazar; daughter Hillary Salazar; son Juan G. Salazar, Jr., foster children Danika and Tristen Garcia, mother and step father Maria D. Salazar and Lorenzo Nunez, mother-in-law Ida Hasette; grandmother Oralia “Lala” Hasette; sisters Aida Espinoza and husband Luis, Irma Maldonado, and husband Jesus; brother Jesus E. Salazar, III, brother-in-law Randy Martinez and wife Kayla; uncle Guadalupe Granado and wife Olivia; aunt Litisia Arredondo and husband Richard. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Serving as Juan’s pall bearers are Randy Martinez, Richard Arredondo, Anthony Rios, Ronald Bechler, John Pace, Jesse Salazar, III, Jesus Maldonado and Luis Espinoza.
A visitation will be Wednesday, January 23 from 2-9 p.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton, with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 24 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tilden. Interment to follow the service at the Hilltop Cemetery in Tilden.
