The Pleasanton JROTC students/cadets will remember those who were injured or killed 14 years ago during the Sept. 11th terrorist attacks on the United States by holding a Patriot Day Ceremony. The event will take place this Friday, Sept. 11, from 7:15 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. at the Pleasanton High School flag pole in the courtyard.
Additionally, the cadets will recognize the faculty, staff and administration’s family members currently serving our Nation in Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan).
JROTC students/cadets will be in formation for the ceremony
The ceremony will serve as a way to remember and pay homage to those injured and killed during the Sept. 11th terrorist attacks. Select JROTC cadets will speak on why Patriot Day is recognized, the meaning of flying the flags at half-staff and the history of Taps. The ceremony will be dedicated to our Armed Forces.
