Jourdanton wins 4th straight

The Jourdanton basketball team picked up its fourth straight win heading into the Christmas break.

The Indians earned a 74-50 road win at Pearsall on Dec. 19, its fourth win in a row and second straight away from home.

A pair of Jourdanton freshmen led the way against the Mavericks.

Jarel Lilly had a team-high 16 points and classmate Payton Gonzales chipped in 11.

The pair were two of eight players who netted at least six points for the Indians.

Jacob Reyna scored nine points and Josh Isaac had eight.

Tyler Dorroh and Payton Kaiser each scored seven points, while Michael Klumb and Colton Schuchart had six points apiece.

Jourdanton returns from the break with a game Friday at home against Class 6A Laredo United South.
