Jourdanton splits four games at home tournament

The Jourdanton boys basketball team finished 2-2 at its home tournament last week after winning its pool and advancing to the Gold bracket.

The Indians fell 50-48 to Bastrop in its final game Saturday.

Payton Kaiser and Tyler Dorroh each had 13 points to lead the way for Jourdanton.

The Indians started 2-0 in pool play, downing McMullen County 61-27 and Poteet 76-39.

Against the Cowboys, Michael Klumb and Jarel Lilly each scored 11. Kaiser added nine, and Colton Schuchart scored eight points.

Kaiser had a team-high 13 points against the Aggies, and Nicholas Gonzales added 11.

Dorroh and Jacob Reyna each had eight.

Jourdanton then fell to Universal City Randolph 53-46 in bracket play.

Lilly led the team with 14 points, and Dorroh was also in double figures with 12. Reyna scored nine points.
