Lerma stepped up as the Indians’ feature running back after senior Aidan Borth went down with an injury in this game vs. Edna. Lilly caught a team-high 85 passes for 1,603 yards and 19 touchdowns to help the Indians to their first 11-win season in 50 years. Lilly’s stellar senior campaign helped etch his name in the Jourdanton history books. Lilly reached the career 3,000-yard mark in 2020. He is the first Indian to do so in the history of the program. That touchdown pass was the 100th in Andrus’ career at Jourdanton. The 6-foot-3 senior finished with 3,994 yards passing and 48 touchdowns on 260 completions.
