Squaws finish first half of district with 5-3 record

The Jourdanton Squaws traveled to South San Antonio last Tuesday night to play the South San West Campus Lady Cougars for a district matchup. The Squaws came out victorious as they beat the Lady Cougars 43-15.

Leading Squaws for the night were Mallory Vickers with 10 points, four steals and two rebounds. Hailey Satterfield contributed with nine points, one steal and seven rebounds. Kirby McNeill added five points, one steal and two rebounds to the Squaws’ totals.

The Squaws then hosted the Karnes City Lady Badgers at home for their next district matchup. The Squaws fell to the Lady Badgers 43-70. Leading Squaws for the night were Sophia Castillo with nine points, two steals, and two rebounds. Satterfield added six points and five rebounds. The Squaws finished the first half of district play with a 5-3 record.

Jourdanton looked to improve their record when they faced the Natalia Lady Mustangs on last night at home. Jourdanton will be off on Friday night before traveling to face the Poteet Lady Aggies next Tuesday night.
