The Jourdanton FFA ag team of Peggy Georg, Oage Jenschke and Raymond Ramirez have written a letter to parents of Jourdanton FFA students outlining clarification on eligibility to participate under the Jourdanton FFA name this 2020-2021 school year.
Jourdanton FFA has announced that in order to participate under the Jourdanton FFA name, students must be an enrolled student at Jourdanton ISD and must attend school for “Face-2-Face” instruction. In addition, all students who utilize pen space at the Jourdanton ISD Ag Complex must be enrolled students at Jourdanton ISD and must attend school for face to face instruction.
The letter states, “We know that with the fluid state COVID-19 has presented us, decisions on whether or not to send your child(ren) to school for Face-2-Face instruction will not be made lightly. However, we wanted to make sure that you all were aware of the parameters surrounding FFA. We understand that the best choice for your family may be to keep your child(ren) at home this school year, and we respect that. For families that do decide to keep your child(ren) at home, there are great 4-H programs in Atascosa County that will still allow your child(ren) to participate in activities and stock shows this year. We will be more than happy to get you in contact with our County Agent, Dale Rankin, as he will be able to provide comprehensive information about each of the 4-H Clubs.”
County Extension Agent, Dale Rankin’s contact information is 830-569-0034 and firstname.lastname@example.org.
