Jourdanton council approves executing agreement with M&S Engineering

Jourdanton City Council members voted to authorize City Manager Lamar Schulz to execute the agreement for M&S Engineering to perform materials testing and construction observation for the 2019 Street and Drainage Program.

The decision was part of the Sept. 14 special called meeting. All members present voted in favor of the item: Jack R. Harrison, Chester Gonzales, Karen Pesek and Patricia J. Elizabeth Tymrak-Daughtrey. Council member Raul Morales was not in attendance due to illness.

Other business

There were not any comments made during the public hearing on the proposed 2020 tax rate of $0.71000 per $100 of taxable valuation, nor on the proposed budget.

The council voted to set the date and time of the meeting to adopt the 2020 tax rate to Monday, Sept. 21, at 6 p.m. at council chambers. At the Sept. 21 meeting, the council will also adopt the proposed 2020-2021 budget for the City of Joudanton.
