The Jourdanton Indians took to the air to beat La Pryor 35-6 on Friday and remain unbeaten on the young season.
After falling behind 6-0, the Indians rattled off 35 unanswered points behind 524 yards of total offense. Jourdanton picked up 345 of those yards through the air.
Junior quarterback Cole Andrus got into a rhythm, going 25-of-37 passing for 336 yards and four touchdowns.
Receiver Jacob Reyna was one of Andrus’ favorite targets with five catches for 68 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Jarel Lilly led the team with eight catches for 89 yards and a touchdown. Brett Berg’s lone reception in the game went for 10 yards and a touchdown.
Jourdanton’s lone rushing touchdown came from Aidan Borth. He finished the day with nine carries for 46 yards and said touchdown to lead the Indians.
Andrus finished with 46 yards on seven carries.
Jourdanton (3-0) will travel to face Natalia (3-0) in a battle of unbeatens this Friday at 7:30 p.m.
