John Krueger, age 54, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2016 in San Antonio.
He is survived by his wife Sharon; daughters Kendra Krueger and Kaylynn Janysek and her husband Adam and their two children Carsyn and Addysyn. He is also survived by his brother Alfred Krueger and his wife Susan of Karnes City; his sister Katherine Doreck and her husband Wesley of Choate, his brother Leroy Krueger of Jourdanton, his sister Alice Kalinoski and her husband Tommy of San Antonio, his sister Helen Stavinoha and her husband Wilbert, of Floresville, his brother James of Runge, his sister Rosie Sczech of San Antonio, his sister Cindy Wishert and husband Matt of Magnolia and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred Sr, and Mathilda Krueger, nephew Jason Krueger, and sister-in-law Kathy Krueger.
John passed away after his five-year battle with colon cancer. John loved life, family, friends and fishing. He worked at the Valero Refinery in Three Rivers, for 22 years. He loved farming and cattle. He was a 4-H volunteer and loved helping his daughters show cattle at stock shows.
He was always ready to see his two grandchildren every chance he got.
A visitation was held from 4 – 8:30 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2016, at Rhodes Funeral Home in Karnes City with a rosary recited at 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial was conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, December 5, 2016, at St. Cornelius Catholic Church in Karnes City with burial following at Fashing Cemetery in Fashing.
