“I have known Joe David since he was about 10 years old. I was his Little League baseball coach,” said Atascosa County Sheriff David Soward. “I took him under my wing and helped him with his baseball skills and we developed a bond that has grown ever since. He has never forgotten me being his coach. I’m amazed at what he has accomplished and how he is such an awesome photographer and hard worker. And don’t ever think that he’s not true to the core to his Alma Mater at Jourdanton. I’m glad to have him as a friend.”
Joe David is the primary award winning photographer at the newspaper where we can always count on him to capture amazing photos and lend a helping hand at the office when needed.
“Joe David has been a part of the Pleasanton Express family for 15 years,” said Noel Wilkerson Holmes, publisher and managing editor, Pleasanton Express. “He is an award winning photographer having won awards from Texas Press Association (TPA), South Texas Press Association (STPA)and Texas Gulf Coast Press Association (TGCPA). He is a major player in our distribution team and we could not get the newspaper delivered on time if it were not for him. But, more than all of these great work qualities, Joe David is a fine human being that I am honored to have in my life. He is hardworking, fun, trustworthy and a great friend to all who know him.”
