This Thursday, Nov. 7, from 6-8 p.m. the Jourdanton Community Library will welcome local author, Jeff S. Bray for a book signing. The event will benefit the Jourdanton ISD Food Locker.
The first 50 kids to donate a nonperishable food item will receive a free signed copy of “Elissa the Curious Snail.”
Donations requested are nonperishable, single serve items that are easily prepped and can be discreetly carried home in their backpack. Examples include single serve, microwaveable mac and cheese, beef stew, pot roast and potatoes or tuna or chicken packets. Other items are snack items such as granola bars, fruit cups (lunch box sized peaches, etc.), packs of popcorn, fruit cups, etc. Must be shelf items.
Please do not donate refrigerated or frozen items and please, no cans.
Bray released “The Five Barred Gate,” a dystopian suspense novel for adults, on Sept. 4. Copies of his books will be available for purchase at the event; $10 for all Elissa books, $30 for a hardbound copy of “The Five Barred Gate” and $15 for a paperback copy of “The Five Barred Gate.”
