James Roy Digges passed away June 6, 2019 in San Antonio. He was born August 4, 1948 to William Edgar Digges, Sr. and Mary Frances Burnam in Poteet. He was a truck driver for 44 years and enjoyed traveling the United States. He loved bull riding and listening to country music. His greatest love was his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Michael Wayne Digges.
James is survived by his son James Roy Digges, Jr.; daughters Wendi Mattingly, Carri Villarreal, and Tammi Persinger; brothers William Edgar Digges, Jr. and wife Dorothy, and Carl Calvin Digges; grandchildren Terry James Mattingly, Shyanne Villarreal, Joey Persinger and Hannah Persinger. He is also survived by his girl friend Pasty Welch and her children and grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Charlie Digges, Jr., Duane Lambert, Andrew Tovar, Tim Forrest, Joe Joe Pratt, and Landyn Tovar.
A visitation will be Wednesday, June 12 from 4-8 p.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton.
A chapel service will be Thursday, June 13 at 10 a.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Pleasanton. Interment will follow services at the Pleasanton City Cemetery.
