We have a couple of new features this week in our paper. First, Roy Pokladnik, (husband of our new Comptroller Esther Pokladnik) an educator for Jourdanton ISD, is a contributor on our Opinions and Letter page with his new column “Solutions”. He will offer these solutions to current event problems/questions/challenges we experience. His smart writing will get you thinking and he welcomes comments – good or bad!

Our second feature is on our website. Webmaster/ Blogger Extraordinaire Jessica Machado is stepping out of her comfort zone and tackling culinary creations in her kitchen called “Feeding Five”. She will be mentored by experienced cooks and will include recipes, pics and her take on how easy or hard it was to prepare. Family recipes, go-to recipes, holiday recipes and stories alike will be featured.

We invite you to read both of these new columns.
