Three people were arrested within minutes on drug related charges by the Atascosa County Sheriff’s deputies and Jourdanton Police Officers. These officials were keeping Highway 97 West busy with their presence on Monday night.
The Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation officers observed alleged narcotic’s transaction and alerted Jourdanton officers.
Booked at the jail was Jourdanton resident Marvin Schneider, 44, for an outstanding warrant for Revocation Probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 (felony). Investigating officer was Troy Walter. Two bonds, $20,000 and $15,000, were set for the possession charge and revocation warrant.
Just down the highway a few minutes later, Sheriff’s deputies K. Draugh and T. Reinikka arrested Cheryl Renee Adams, 43, from Poteet. She was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance under one gram (methamphetamine) and Possession of Marijuana under two ounces. Her passenger, Carroll Emerson, 40, of Carrizo Springs was arrested for Public Intoxication. Bond was set at $10,000 and $2,000 for Adams respectively.
