The Jourdanton Police Department’s annual “Cops4Kids” event is officially underway and looking for sponsors.

“Cops4Kids” identifies children in our immediate area whose families face situations that make Christmas a difficult time. These families are invited to JPD’s “Cops4Kids” event which includes food, games, face painting as well as a visit from Santa Claus. Each child is given 2-3 gifts to unwrap and take home with them.

This program is 100% funded by donations from the public. You may have seen the brightly colored boxes at local establishments that individuals can drop off new unwrapped toys in. In addition to our toy donation, we are grateful for your business partners who contribute financially or through in-kind donations to help make this event a success.

If you or your business is interested in helping light up the face of a local child this season, please feel free to contact Sgt. Investigator Mari Kaufman at 830-769- 224I ext. 304 or Jeanette Garza at 830-769-2241 ext. 300.
