Herlinda (Sophia) M. Cordova passed away at the age of 75 on November 30, 2019, in San Antonio.

She was born October 9, 1944 in Christine. She was the daughter of the late Claudio and Gregoria R. Martinez.

A woman of Christian faith and of many talents, ranging from carpentry, to quilting, to redecorating her home. And always ready to decorate her home in October for the Christmas season, a season she definitely had a passion for. She was employed by First Baptist Church for over 40 years, a job she dearly loved along with the people she worked with.

She is survived by her son, Victor (Julie) Cordova from Houston; daughters, Cynthia Voss (Edward) from Dallas, Rachel Martinez (Arnold) from Pleasanton; six grandchildren, Sam, Catherine and Caroline Cordova (Houston), Cristian (Alyssa) and Savana Mutters (Dallas), Ashley Chapa (Martin) Pleasanton; Ava Vega, Jaydee, Martin Jr, Natalia and Avery Chapa; brother, Pete Martinez (Angie); and sisters, Susie Carrasco (Joe) Janie Heritage, Cecelia Garcia, Olivia Gomez. Numerous nieces and nephew along with so many other people that she considered her family.

She was preceeded in death by her husband, Pedro 0. Cordova of 55 years; brother, Gilbert Martinez; and Pauline Martinez.
