Heritage, bbq & pies

“I often wonder what our heritage really means to the young generations. Will they care enough to pass on to future generations the promise that freedom holds?

To me, our heritage is the reverence and humility I feel when I think of how our forefathers labored with sweat, blood and tears for this country, to free us all from fears of brutal tyranny.

To me, it is the tingling pride I feel when I read of the Liberty Bell, the Statue of Liberty, and see Old Glory unfurled in the breeze.

Our heritage is the nobility, pride, humility and reverence for this great country as we stand together under one flag of many national backgrounds.

To me, my heritage and my life is as a splendid torch burning brightly. This great light with all its hopes and dreams shall be handed on to future generations.

This is our heritage, our great dream, our homeland to be cherished forever.” – Joyce Elizabeth Stanush
