Helen P. Morales of Pleasanton passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018 at the age of 95. She was born August 16, 1923 in Charlotte to Samuel and Juanita (Garcia) Pena. Helen was a member of the Pleasanton High School Eagle band and softball team. She sang in the St. Andrew Catholic Church Choir and was a member of the Guadalupana’s. She was a volunteer for many of the church activities and was the Director of the Diez y sies de Septeimbre celebrations. Helen was an avid dancer and friend to everyone. Her greatest joy in life was her family.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Juanita Pena; brothers, Pete and Bernaldo Sr. Pena and sister Frances Pena Benitez.

Helen is survived by her sons, Victor Morales and wife Dani of Crandall and Jae Morales of Pleasanton; daughters, Lupe Morales Jimenez and husband Jessie of Poteet and Anna Morales Wright and husband Wendall of Plano and sister, Mary Pena Ortiz of Pleasanton. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, twentyone great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be conducted at Hurley Funeral home in Pleasanton on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary record at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Pleasanton on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., followed by internment at San Ysidro cemetery. Pallbearers for Helen’s service will be Christopher Orta, Victor Morales Jr., Wendall Wright, Roy Morales, Bernaldo Pena Jr. and Roger Ortiz.
