Guadalupe “Lupe” R. Rodriguez of Pleasanton passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018 at the age of 64. He was born in Colorado City on December 12, 1953 to Salvador and Nicolasa (Rivera) Rodriguez.
Lupe is survived by his wife, Janie Rodriguez; son, Rodney James Rodriguez, and wife, Cleo; daughter, Ashley Nicole Adcock, and husband Phillip; stepson, Elias L. Maldonado; stepdaughters, Stephanie K. Garcia, and fiancée Cody, and Emily Marie Maldonado, and fiancée Trey; brother, Juan Rodriguez, and sisters, Margarita Benavidez, Sylvia Flores, Irma Caballero, Nora Hernandez, and Isabel Huizar. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jocelyn Perez, and Julissa Perez, Sophia Belen Rodriguez, and Rodney James “RJ” Rodriguez II, and step-grandchildren, Sophia Maldonado, Alfredo M. DeLa Santos, Anthony M. DeLa Santos, and Adrian M. DeLa Santos.
Lupe is preceded in death by his parents, Salvador and Nicolasa Rodriguez; infant daughter, Mary Rodriguez and uncle, Marcos Rivera.
Visitation will be conducted at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton on Sunday, November 11 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church at 274 Avenue H in Poteet on Monday, November 12 at 10 a.m., followed by interment at Madre Dolorosa Cemetery #2.
