Gordon retires as City of Jourdanton tax attorney, welcomes in Rocha



At the regular meeting of the Jourdanton City Council on June 18, City Secretary Debbie Molina presented Lee Gordon, who has served as their tax attorney for many years, a plaque of appreciation. Gordon is retiring from his position at the law firm, as well. Molina said that she has learned a lot from him and will miss working with him. Gordon thanked them for the opportunity to work with them and said that he enjoyed working with them all these years. He added that he knew Ronald Rocha, who would be replacing him, and added he would do a fine job for them.

Loretta Holley, Atascosa County Tax Assessor/ Collector introduced Rocha who works with the Linebargr, Goggan, Blair & Sampson, LLP firm. Rocha has been with the firm for 26 years and is involved in local community activities, such as 4-H and the Law Officers’ luncheon. He will do his reporting in any time format they want, whether it is monthly, quarterly or even annually. Councilman Raul “Roy” Morales welcomed him aboard.
