Gloria Anna Labollita DeCicco, 76, of Pleasanton was called home to be with our Lord on Monday, January 8, 2018 in Jourdanton.
Gloria was born December 18, 1941 to Lucia and Beagio Labollita. She is survived by her son Mario Lomuscio and wife Iraida Lomuscio and two daughters, Tina Marie DeCicco and Diana L. Machado and husband Alex P. Machado all of Pleasanton; seven grandchildren, Michael A. DeCicco and wife Beatrice Valle, Dominique Esquivel and husband Daniel Esquivel of Pleasanton, Athena Jimenez and fiance Gabriel Gonzales of Jourdanton, Angelique Ortiz and fiance Emmitt Ballesteros of Pleasanton, Kabrina Ortiz and Elizabeth Ruiz both of San Antonio and Mia Lomuscio of Pleasanton; 14 great-grandchildren, Jade, Jason, Aliza, Michael Jr., Eliana, Danielle, Mayleen, Analysa, Gabriel Jr., Nicholas, Madix, Isabella, Sofia and Julian. She is also survived by two brothers, Anthony Labollita Sr., and Victor Labollita both of New York and many nieces and nephews and lots of others that called her mom.
Gloria was the youngest of 10 children. She had seven brothers and two sisters. She and her siblings were the first generation born in this U.S. Her parents came over from Italy to start a new life. She grew up in the Bronx where she lived until she set roots in Texas in the late 70s. Gloria was very proud of her heritage, and loved to share stories and the food growing up was something. She had a big personality and a great sense of humor, she was feisty and not afraid to speak her mind. She enjoyed going to church, music, dancing, watching old movies and oh how she loved her hot tea with milk, yes with milk. But most of all playing with her grandchildren. She was always there to lend a hand, a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on or give a good scolding if you needed a reality check. All out of love of course. She had a heart of gold and loved unconditionally.
Gloria will be deeply missed by many.
Memorial services will be held on January 27 at 7 p.m. at New Beginnings Baptist Church, 535 Trade St., Pleasanton.
