Giving Thanks



At this time of the year, we especially wish to thank all of you. Here’s to a very safe and wonderful Thanksgiving.

Closures Our office will be closed Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday. Schools are out, too! Also, the Texas Department of Public Safety drivers license offices will be closing at noon on Wednesday, November 21. The office will also be closed on Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday. Regular hours will return next week.

December 1 & 3 happenings Mark your calendars now for visits from Santa and the annual lighted Christmas parade. But before you start your weekend of shopping and visiting, why not come to the River Park and participate in the Prayer Walk. It will be held from 9-11 a.m. Short messages by local pastors and music will be heard at five different stations. The Pleasanton Eagle Band will be at the final station. Later that day, the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce will once again hold Brush Country Christmas on Main Street. Children’s bike parade, pet parade and a visit from Santa is planned along with entertainment. More information to come! That evening, the Atascosa County Sheriff’s Posse will host their lighted Christmas parade. It will start at the Pleasanton River Park and make its way through town. On Monday, December 3, The Jourdanton Chamber of Commerce will also have Santa come to visit at the Community Center. It will start at 6 p.m.

Concert time The Pleasanton and Floresville community choir will perform twice next month. The first concert will be held on December 1,5 at the Douglas Williamson Sr. Performing Arts Center in Pleasanton. Then on December 16, it will be presented at the First Baptist Church in Floresville. Both concerts will be held at 7 p.m.
