Free vegan cooking classes

Many people are getting interested in a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle because they have learned that it is a healthier lifestyle. Vegan recipes are all plant based and use no animals products.

Many have questions like- Where do you get your protein? Do you just eat salads? Where will I get calcium? Is the food bland tasting? Will my kids like and eat it? Will it help lower my cholesterol levels? Will it help me with my diabetes?

Mark your calendars now because Atascosa First Seventh-day Adventist Church is holding free vegan cooking classes on July 8 and July 15 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Several dishes will be prepared in front of you and questions will be answered. You can taste the dishes at the end of the class. Drawings will be held for free vegan cookbooks and others gifts. Free DVDs with vegan recipes and health information will be available.

You may call 210-241- 4691 for more information on the cooking classes.
