Frank Herman Hollingsworth, 86, of Bayfield, Colorado, passed away on February 12, 2017 in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. He was born in Pleasanton, Texas, on February 13, 1930, to Carl Hollingsworth and Sallie Jane Burmeister.
He graduated from Pleasanton High School in 1947. He received a degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas in Austin. Frank served four years in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during the Korean War. His lifetime career with Amoco Oil Company led him to travel the world.
He married Marilyn Smith of Farmington, New Mexico, on May 15, 1959.
He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Hollingsworth.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; two daughters, Kathy Barno (Ed); and Julia Julie Hollingsworth; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Farmington, N.M. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Bayfield, Colorado, on Thursday, February 23, at 11 a.m.
