Regardless of how their football seasons end there will be four athletes from Atascosa County who will get to take part in the San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game, presented by H-E-B on Jan. 8, 2022.
Jourdanton’s Luke Tapp and Robert Miranda and Pleasanton’s AJ Ayala will be part of the Black team. Poteet’s Ernest Davila will be a member of the Gold team.
Those four will join 111 more student athletes from 58 other high schools in the San Antonio area to compete in the All-Star football game in January.
This will be the 44th annual San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game. It will be played at 5 p.m. in the Alamodome. The all-star game brings a wide variety of players together, from those already com- mitted to playing in college to those looking for a chance to show what they can do in front of college scouts.
The San Antonio All-Star Game will follow the Army All-American Bowl which is scheduled for noon on Jan. 8. One ticket serves as admission to both the All-American Bowl and the San Antonio All-Star game. Tickets range in price from $10 for general admission to $20 for reserved. Tickets will go on sale later this month.
