On June 19, 2020, Floyd Dean Baggerly, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle passed away at his Jourdanton home, at the age of 83. Floyd was born September 24, 1936, in Belton, the sixth of eleven children born to Richard Walter and Lela Mae (Nettle) Baggerly.
He spent his life working as a carpenter and building contractor. Floyd and his wife of 35 years, Patsy Birdwell Baggerly have lived in the Jourdanton area for the past 29 years, hand crafting their home together. A creative man, Floyd loved making personal gifts for family in his workshop, getting together with family and traveling with Patsy.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents and eight of his siblings including his twin sister Joyce.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy; sons, Don Baggerly and wife Shirley, Bobby Dean Schrier; daughters, Colleen Dittmer, Micki Kabela and husband Craig, Terri Everett and husband Randy, 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and brothers, Jim Baggerly and Don Baggerly.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25, from 9-10:30 a.m. at Hurley Funeral Home, 118 W. Oaklawn Road in Pleasanton. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. in St. John Lutheran Cemetery off Willow Street in Jourdanton.
