These Pleasanton 4th grade Language Arts students created their own books in a major school project. The class is composed of (in alphabetical order) Robert Allan, Cass Allwander, Micaela Aranda, Becky Beard, Rebekah Broom, Brandon Burdick, James Caraway, Martha Curl, Vanessa Davila, Erika Garcia, Joseph Hierholzer, Mickey Holt, Sandra Lopez, Keith Magel, Lisa Mays, Gabriel Morantes, David Pursch, Dina Reyes, Jeffery Schroeder, Zanna Stutts, Courtney Tiner and Kevin Woods.
Only one of his teammates is close by as the Pleasanton A’s Michael Garza (of Charlotte) slides in to score a run in the first game of Monday’s Flas League doubleheader with Cuero. The local team won both ends, 8-7 and 9-5. Garza also pitched the first game and earned the victory on the mound.

Five members of Brownie Troop 700 were inducted into the Junior Girl Scouts recently. In front are Regina Gallegos and Julie Turner. IN back are Rebecca Mutters, Michelle Gomez and Gracie Toscano. Ceremony was held at the home of Mrs. Mary Gallegos, troop leader, and she was helped by Rosa Toscano.
