Hunter Norment of Pleasanton, the son of Darold and Debbie Norment, holds up a 5-foot rattlesnake killed on the family ranch in November. This is a good reminder to hunters that snakes are still out on the move with the unusual dry, warm conditions.

These members of First Baptist Church-Pleasanton invite everyone to “The Christmas Village” on Saturday. It will feature over a hundred costumed characters portraying Biblical scenes. The cast includes (l-r): Trent Schuchart, Garry Schuchart and Charles Murray as the shepherds and Lane Williams as Joseph, with Nechole Williams as Mary.

When Santa came to Pleasanton on Saturday, Dec. 3, 7-year-old Chris Pacheco had his chance to tell Santa what a good boy he has been. Chris has high hopes for a bike or TV for Christmas. Santa is getting in a few pointers while Mrs. Claus agrees that Chris has been on his best behavior lately. Chris is the son of Tina and Rudy Pacheco.
Pleasanton 6-7 post, Wes McCorkle, goes high to snare a rebounder from a Pearsall Maverick. Trying to help are the Eagles’ (31) Bobby Johnson and (30) Mike Jones. The Eagles won, 62-54.
