Loaves & Fishes Recognized – On Tuesday, September 28, the Jourdanton United Methodist Church’s soup kitchen was recognized as one of the six programs nominated for the New Visions In Ministry Awards pre-sentenced by San Antonio District of the Methodist Church. Furious Action – Jourdanton’s Shana Eichman goes up on high (on the left side of net) to slam home one of many winners are the Jourdanton Squaws put away Friday afternoon against the Devine Arabians. The Squaws won, 15-3,15-5, to remain in the heat of the district race. Oldest Honor Class – Here are two members of the 1919 PHS graduating class, the oldest honor class attending festivities here Saturday night. The ‘19 class graduated four boys and one girl. Left to right are Charlie Troell, retired Pleasanton automobile dealer, and Roy Head, an accountant, now residing in San Antonio.

Homecoming Royalty – Jourdanton High School held its annual homecoming Friday night honoring the Classes of 1919,1929,1939,1949, and 1959. Selected as homecoming king and queen were Hubert H. Driscal, Class of ‘29, and Mrs. Carroll Wheeler, Class of 1919. At right is Anna Rose Matocha eighth grade representative in the coronation ceremony.
