This past weekend my husband and I joined my father-in-law and some friends in the Jourdanton Volunteer Fire Department 22nd Annual BBQ Cook-Off and to say the least I was quite impressed.
The JVFD kept the grounds nice and clean, were there to answer any questions we had and most importantly took the time to care about the people involved. The cook-off was well organized and the auction was impressive. It is great to see a community so involved in their volunteer entity that the community reaches out to aide in such a good cause.
Fire Chief David Prasifka made my team feel as though we were part of the Jourdanton community. I would like to thank the JVFD for all their diligent work and hospitality. This event is something that will definitely be marked on our calendars for years to come.
