11th Annual Howl-O-Weenie

Pet costume contest, all domestic pets welcomed! Saturday, November 1 at the Pleasanton Library, registration starts at 9:30 and entry fee is $5. Bring your fur babies out for the contests and races.

Fall Festival Time!

Join in the fun at Cowboy Fellowship’s Annual Fall Festival! This year the event will be held on the church grounds from 6pm-8pm this Friday, Oct. 31. Bring the kids out for tons of candy, a mechanical bull, a rock climbing wall, and lots of new games.

Area Churches and other organizations are sponsoring a free Fall Festival at the Pleasanton River Park Friday, Oct. 31 from 5:30-8pm. Come join in the fun with free food, drinks, candy and games.

Gobble, Gobble, Gobble

It’s that time of year again. Turkey dinners left and right! St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Charlotte will begin serving turkey with all the trimmings at 11am, on Sunday, Nov. 2. Plates are just $7.

The Black Hill Grange and Community Turkey dinner will take place at their Community Center located on FM 478 just 2 miles south of Hwy 97. Serving starts at 11am and you can dine in or take out. $7 gets your plate, drink and dessert!

The 54th Annual Turkey Dinner Community Homecoming at St. Ignatius Catholic Hall in Christine is this Sunday, Nov. 2. Serving starts at 10:30am., stick around for the craft bazaar, quilt drawing, door prizes, silent auction and community awards. Books for the Bud Armentrout Memorial Roping open at 11am. Country Christmas Craft Show

The Atascosa Child Care Board’s Country Christmas Craft Show will be held at the Atascosa Show Barn, Sat. Nov. 8 from 9am to 4pm. Proceeds go to local children in the care of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. For more info contact Barbara at 830- 769-2855 ext.0.
