Today is the big day! You are holding in your hands the redesigned Pleasanton Express and by taking a quick trip to your computer you will find our new website at www.pleasantonexpress.com. We are so excited to bring both of these significant changes to you over this Thanksgiving Holiday. We hope you take some extra time to explore both the new and improved versions of our print and electronic newspaper editions.
Our website was designed to be easy to navigate and user friendly. It provides full coverage of every page of the Express print version including classifieds, obituaries and advertisements.
One of the most innovative features on the website is called an e-edition which is an electronic version of the print edition. The e-edition provides a “paper-like” reading experience. You will be able to view all the text, photos, and advertisements exactly as they are printed in the Express. You will have the option to change the screen layout, move easily through pages and sections, and save and send articles with the click of a button. Double-clicking on stories, photos or advertisements will open them in a new window at a larger, more legible size.
We have five great staff blogs covering a range of topics from the local oil boom to books. The authors of these blogs will write on topics big and small to serious and silly. Most important is that they want to engage you and hear back from you via your comments and opinions.
In conjunction with the website, we have started a Facebook presence so please come be one of the first to be our friend. We hope the Pleasanton Express Facebook page will be the place for all Atascosa’s past and present to come to connect, reconnect and stay connected…
While we have taken great care to make the website as near start-up perfect as possible, there will without a doubt be bumps in the roads. We will be making some tweaks and some changes. For now, sit back, enjoy and explore. Please let us hear from you. Your thoughts, suggestions and comments are important to us and will help us grow and improve.
