Eufemia was born to Theodoro and Maria Cornejo in Moore, Texas, on February 22, 1931. Throughout her life, Eufemia cared for and tended to many children; many of whom she raised and/or simply just oversaw when needed, but still cared for as her own. Eufemia was a wonderful homemaker that left an everlasting impact on her family and friends. She was an excellent cook, baker, avid card player, bingo player and dancer.

Eufemia passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 5, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodoro and Maria Cornejo, her sisters, Monica Garcia, Dominga Cordova, and Juanita C. Rangel, her brothers, Jesus Cornejo, and Inez Cornejo, her dear son, George Rodriguez, and her loving husband of 69, Reynaldo Rodriguez, Jr.

Eufemia is survived by her other two brothers, Raymond Cornejo, and his wife, Angie, and Jose Cornejo, and his late wife, Florinda, her two daughters Estella (Rodriguez) Pacheco, and her husband, Eusebio, and Ida (Rodriguez) Cordova, and her husband, Jesse. Eufemia is also survived by her six grandchildren, 14 greatgrandchildren, two stepgreat grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Eufemia will always be immensely loved and missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her throughout her remarkable lifetime.

Pallbearers for the services will be Johnny Cordova, George Rodriguez, Jr., Brandon Fonseca (honorary), Johnathan Martinez, Danny Rangel, Bobby Rangel, and Danny Joe Rangel.

A visitation for Eufemia will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021, at Hurley Funeral Home, from 5-7 p.m., with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. A Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at 10 a.m, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, followed by an interment at San Jose Cemetery.

Due to the rise in COVID 19, masks will be REQUIRED in order to attend all services for Eufemia and no gathering will follow services.
