On Saturday, December 9th, 2017, Ethel Rogers, loving wife, mother, daughter and sister, passed away at the age of 103 years in Pleasanton, Texas.  Ethel was born on October 10th, 1914.

Ethel will be forever remembered by her son, Allen and his wife Gloria, and daughter Mildred Bandy and her husband Bert, brother, Robert Montgomery, sister Thelma Kline Burden, and by seven grandchildren, many great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and numerous friends.  Ethel was preceded in death by her loving husband, Henry (Sonny) Rogers, mother Blanche Irene Montgomery, father Alexander Montgomery, sisters, Irene Montgomery and Velma Fritz, brothers, Clarence Montgomery, Luther Montgomery, Nathan Montgomery and Lathan Montgomery, and daughter-in-law Linda Rogers.

Ethel was born in Huckabay, Texas. Ethel and Henry (Sonny) were married on January 2nd, 1934.  They lived in South Texas most of their lives on a dairy farm.  The couple later moved to Pleasanton in 1977 where Henry (Sonny) passed away in 1978.  Ethel was a home maker who was a dedicated member of the New Beginning Baptist Church.

Visitation will be conducted at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 4 –  8 p.m.  A funeral service will be Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton.  Interment followed the service at the Oakley Cemetery.
