On April 12, 2017 Estella Ann Douglas departed from this life to join our Lord and leave behind the troubles of this world.
Although she herself never bore a child, she was in many ways a mother to us all. She was a nurturer, teacher, healer, and devoted protector. All who were fortunate to know her know this and that she is irreplaceable and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank A. and Stella (Saenz) Douglas.
She is survived by her siblings, Mary Cardenas and husband Polo, Frank Douglas, Fay Brown and husband Edward, Susan Douglas, Daniel Douglas and wife Mary Orozco, Dolores Presnell and husband Farlon, Leonard C. Douglas, and Pauline Brisson and husband Robert, and nephews and nieces, Mary Cardenas, Frank Douglas, Jr., Jaclyn Brown, Crystal Arguijo, Megan Garza, Leonard Douglas, Adrianna Douglas, Treva Brown, Robert Brown, Peter Douglas, Nicole Murray, Mario Bernal, and Robert D. Brisson.
Estella is also survived by numerous great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation was held at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton on Monday, April 17 from 2 – 9 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 626 Market Street, Pleasanton on Tuesday, April 18 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the Douglas Family Cemetery, off CR 302, Jourdanton.
