Ermenia Coronado of Poteet is desperately seeking the public’s help in finding a living organ donor.
She is in her early 60s and suffers from NASH. According to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, NASH is a form of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. In addition to fat in your liver, it can cause liver cell damage or worse.
Her daughter Angelica explained a living liver donor had been lined up, but the person needed surgery so it fell through.
“This is very time sensitive,” emphasized Angelica.
The family has been told if Ermenia does not find a living liver donor soon, she won’t make it much longer.
“She’s not ready to go. She has grandchildren from 2 to 23-years-old and two children.”
Family members are looking into whether or not Ermenia’s insurance will cover more for a living donor, along with holding some kind of fundraiser.
Potential donors need to be A+ blood type, at least 21 and not above 55-yearsold.
Please let Angelica know if you are interested, because additional testing needs to be done on potential donors. You may text or call Angelica at 210- 294-2804, or email email@example.com
She may miss your call as she has a full-time job, so please leave a message if she does not answer. The family also understands if all you can do is send prayers.
“She is at home. She needs to rest a lot. She has been going to the hospital for blood transfusions,” added Angelica.
