EMILIA URIBE


 

 

Emilia L. Uribe, 65, of Pleasanton went to be with our Lord on Jan. 3, 2022. Her husband was by her side. Emilia was born on June 26, 1956, in Pleasanton, to Donald and Lydia G. Luna. She graduated from Pleasanton High School in 1974. Emilia married her sweetheart, Hector R. Uribe on June 26, 1976. They were happily married for 46 years. Emilia worked with the Atascosa County Justice of the Peace Precinct 4 for over 20 years.

Emilia was a loving, caring and supportive wife, mother and grandmother. Her family remembers her love, compassion and consideration of others. Emilia loved spending time with her grandchildren. They were her pride and joy. Like her mother, she enjoyed gardening. She also loved to travel and host family events and was famous for her fruit salad. She was also a faithful and longtime member of St. Andrew Catholic Church.

Emilia is preceded in death by her parents Donald and Lydia G. Luna, sister Irene Guerra; brothers Pete and Claudio Luna; and her uncle Pete Galindo.

Emilia is survived by her loving husband Hector R. Uribe, children Daniel Uribe and wife Christine; and Benjamin Uribe; sister Mary Lou Luna Ables; brothers Donald Luna and his wife Nancy, and Henry Luna and his wife Margie; and her grandchildren Isabella, Arthur and Lucas.

There will be a time for visitation on Friday, Jan. 7 from 4-9 p.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church with the reciting of the rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass was held on Jan. 8, at 10 a.m., at St. Andrew Catholic Church followed by interment at Esparza Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Luna, Andrew Guerra, Alex Guerra, R.J. Gutierrez, Patrick Jenks and Jay Toscano.

Flowers are welcome, but for those who wish to donate, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
