Torey Dumont graduated from the University of Houston –Victoria on Dec. 15, 2018.
Torey earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology, with a minor in English, graduating with honors. Prior to graduating, Torey obtained her certification from the State of Texas to teach secondary physical education.
In Spring 2019, Torey will complete her fourth year of playing softball at UHV and take grad classes at the UHV School of Education to work towards earning a Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision with an Emphasis on the Principalship. Torey will also seek her state certification to teach secondary English. After completing her collegiate softball career, Torey plans to teach and coach, with a future goal of becoming an Athletic Director. Like her sister, Kierstyn, she will become the third generation teacher/coach in the Dumont family, following in the footsteps of her grandfather and her father. She also joins her uncle, two aunts and two cousins in the occupation of teacher/coach.
Torey graduated from Pleasanton High School in June 2015. She is the daughter of Tab and Kala Dumont of Pleasanton.
