Dorothy Olle, 90, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in San Antonio.
She was born on September 14, 1927 in Richardson. Dorothy lived in New Braunfels for 17 years and helped out around her family’s farm. She moved to San Antonio in 1944 and worked for Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator for five years before meeting and marrying Alfred Olle, Jr. in May of 1949. Then, in 1960, Dorothy and Alfred moved to Leming with their three children. Dorothy loved taking care of her children and then, in later years, babysitting and playing with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Dorothy was an avid reader and loved to play dominoes and cards.
She is survived by her son, Leonard Charles Olle and wife Mary Ann, her daughter Rosemary Seiler and husband Blayde, and her son-in-law Miles Burch. She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Leonard Charles Olle, Jr. and wife Karen, Shanna Luby and husband Omar, Cassandra Diaz and husband Jaime, Heather Grohman and husband Garrett, Julie Olle, Megan Stevens and husband Chris, Hannah Chenault and husband Craig, Dustin Olle and wife Karleen, and Preston Olle. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Alfred Olle, Jr, her daughter Karen Burch, her brother Harvey Brown, and her parents.
Visitation was Sunday, January 14 from 5-9 p.m. Funeral services were held at Mission Park South Chapel on Monday, January 15 at 11 a.m., with Interment following at Brite Cemetery in Leming.
