Dora D. Reyes was born in Charlotte on December 20, 1935 to parents, Juan and Eva (Garza) Diaz. She died November 4, 2019.
She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia R. Mancha and husband Frank S. of Jourdanton; son, Ysidro Reyes, Jr. and wife Esperanza of Jourdanton; grandchildren, James Christopher Mancha and wife Amanda of North Augusta, South Carolina, Cynthia Ann Mancha and husband Daniel Harlacher of Austin, Cecilia Hope Evans and husband JW of Jourdanton and Cassandra Angel Reyes and fiancé Collin Bednorz of Victoria. She is also survived by great-granddaughter Davina Quinn Evans of Jourdanton; sister, Nancy Escamilla of Fresno, California; sisters-inlaw, Margaret Diaz of Charlotte, Rosie Diaz and Marie Diaz both of Pleasanton, Adelina Torres, Hortencia Reyes, Josie Coronado and Lupe and brothers-in-law, Mike Reyes of San Antonio, Edward Reyes, Tom Reyes and Joe Reyes.
Dora is preceded in death by her husband, Ysidro Reyes, Sr.; parents, Juan and Eva Diaz; brothers, Alfred Diaz, Octavio Diaz, Gregorio Diaz, Johnny Diaz and Domingo Diaz; sisters, Rosie Elizondo and Aurora Medrano and sister-in-law, Rosario Diaz.
Serving as pallbearers for Dora will be her only grandson, James Christopher Mancha; grandsons-in-law, Daniel Harlacher, J.W. Evans and soon to be grandsonin law, Collin Bednorz; nephews, John C. Diaz, Lupe Diaz, Alex Diaz and greatnephew, Eric Diaz.
Visitation was conducted at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton on Monday, November 11 from 2-9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, November 12 at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, followed by interment at the Ambrosia-Aguero Cemetery.
